The devotion was given by Mrs. Mary Margaret Deyton and Mrs. Helen McKinney. 18 attended the meeting from ages 6 norths to 82 years of age. The day was enjoyed by all. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Young and family have moved to Newdale. We were glad to have them at church Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Y>ung and family, from Henderson - ville, North Carolina,visited Mr. and Mrs. Glen McMahan over the weekend. -1— Pfc. Janice Robinson and her fiance, Lance Corporal Lee Stone of Cherry Point, N. C., visited relatives & friends over the weekend. Janice is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Euranious Robinson. Homemakers Workshop Seven homemakers from Yancey County joined more than 150 Crafts leaders from Western North Carolina for a two day training workshop in Creative Crafts at As s e m bly Inn, Montreat, N.C. April 13 and 14. Main purposes of the workshop are to (1) train crafts leaders and (2) to pro - mote quality crafts in the county. Leaders from Yancey Coun ty and their classes included: Mis. C.B.Bennett, Mrs. John Ramsey, Pine Cones and Na tive Materials; Mrs. Nelle Johnson, Chair Caning; Lydia Deyton, Chair Bottoming; Mrs. Ralph Jacks, Cooper Enamel - ing; Mrs. Craig English and Mrs. Nat Howell, Jewelry.
