JUNE 3, 1971 Winner At Autorama The Southeastern Autorama moved to a successful oonclu - sion on Saturday night in Erwin, Tennessee with the selection of 1971 ' s Miss Southeast Artorama. Arms filled with roses,a trophy, and gifts Miss Nancy Wynne Lewis, the winner, smiled at the crowd. Nancy is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Lewis of Erwin, the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.J. Shepherd and niece of Mrs. Opha S. Hylemon of Route 3, Burnsville. She is 16 years old and a sophomore at Unicoi County High School, Erwin, Tennessee. She was the widow of lewis Henson who died in 1966. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Mary Ray and Mrs. Arvis Hamilton, both of Burnsville; two brothers, Ernest Ervin of Mars Hill and Henry Ervin of Asheville; and four grandchild ren. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p. m. Wednesday in Griffith Cahpel AME Zion Church. Rev. Ed Griffith of ficiated and burial was in the Mt. Olive Church Cemetery at Mars Hill. GENEVA HONEYCUTT Graveside rites for Geneva Lynn Honeycutt, infant daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Honeycutt of Hickory, former ly of Mitchell County, were held at 2:00 p. m. Monday in Mine Creek Cemetery with the Rev. Wade Boone officiating. Surviving in addition to the parents are a brother, Phillip Honeycutt of the home; the maternal grandparents, Mr.and Mrs. John Willis of Bakersville; and the paternal grandparents, Rev. and Mrs. Guy Honeycutt of Burnsville. HARRIET BABER Mrs. Harriett Lou Baber,B7, who made her home with a daughter, Mrs. Lloyd Turner in Morganton, died Thursday night, May 20 in a Morganton hospital. Surviving in addition to Mrs. Turner are another chughler,Mrs. Charles Roberts of Tampa, Fla.; two sons, Charles of Baytown, Texas and Carson Baber of Mor ganton; a brother, Brantley C hr is awn of Burnsville; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 22 in Kirksey Memorial Chapel. Rev, R. Knolan Benfield officiated and burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery in Marion. ESSIE WILLIAMS Mis. Essie Williams, 87, a native of Yancey County and a former resident of Henderson ville, died Monday afternoon in a Western North Carol ina Hospital after a long illness. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Ella Blalock of Henderson ville; two sons, Jess of Ashford and Olen Williams of Norfolk, Virginia; a brother, Fate Me - Clellen of Fletcher; 13 grand children, 12 great-grandchild ren and three great great grand children. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p. m. Wednesday in the chapel of Holcombe Bro thers Funeral Home. Rev.B»rt Styles officiated and burial was in McClellen familycemetery. WILLIAM JAMERSON William C. Jamerson, 96, of Jonesboro, Tenn. Route 11, formerly of Burnsville, died Saturday in a Johnson City hos pital after a long illness. Mr. Jamerson, a retired farmer, was a member of Open Door Baptist Church in Jones berev He was a member of lulls Geek Lodge No. 397 AF & AM. Surviving are the widow,Mi& Matt Nellie Silvers Jamerson; three daughters, Mrs. Edna Mar shall and Mrs. Era Fay Boone of Johnson City and Mrs. Juani ta W. Rice of Mars Hill; five sons, Reece of Johnson City, Hugh of Los Angeles, Van and Hershel C. of Mars Hill and Carl Jamerson of Limestone, Tenn.; 31 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and eight gre at- gre at- grandchildren.
