The pur pose of the session is to {resent the Toecane Ranger District Program of Work for the com ing year. This session should be an excellent opportunity for in terested citizens to learn what is going on in your National Forests, as well as giving you an opportunity to actively con tribute to the improvement of management of these public lands. The Forest Service is char ged with managing the Nation al Forest Lands for the greatest good, for the greatest number of people in the long run. The cou pie will be leaving August 2 far Craig Air Force Base in Alabama where they will be living. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Bu chanan's children and familis visiting on Sunday were Mr. and Mis. David Buchanan and daughter of Burnsville and Mr. and Mrs. Steve Silvers and son of Swannanoa. • • The Ayres Reunion was Sunday July 25th at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Crawford Ayres. About 50 people were present, among them were Mr. and Mrs, RayWisemanof Spruce Pine, Mr. and Mrs. J unior Ayres and children and Gary and Karen Ayres, all from South Carolina. • • • • Mr. and Mb. Wash Fox, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Ayres and Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Fox visit ed last Sunday in Johnson City, Tennessee with ME.Wash Fox's brother, Mr. R.C. Laugjirun. This past Sunday Mb. Three Youths attending the North Carolina 4-H Club Con gress in Raleigh this week are Stanley Canipe, son of Mr. and Mb. C.C.Canipe, Mike Hopson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hopson, and Larry Hall son of Mr. and Mb. Frank Hall. Mr. and Mb. Robert Mc- Kinney and Barry and Miss Iynn Deyton are visiting this week with Mb. McKinney and Lyrrfc sister and family, Mr. and Mb Michael Munson in Des Moines lowa. Zion Baptist Church is hav ing Vacation Bible School this week.
