David lias finish ed his tour of duty in the Army and has entered the University of Tennessee at Knoxville to study for a degree in Industrial Engineering. His wife has ac cepted a position as an instruc tor at Knoxville Business Col lege. * Mr. and Mrs. Joe Coletta and small daughters of Atlanta, Georgia, spent last week end with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. P.C. Coletta. * Miss Lucy McMath of Adairs ville , Georgia is visiting her sister, Mrs. C. R. Hamrick. * Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Davis attended the wedding of Mrs. Davis' nephew in Indiana last week. * Mr. and Mrs. Ed Yuziuk had as their guests this past week, her parents, Mr. and Mis. Virginia and their son Barry and family of Washington, D.C. * Miss Nettie Bennett, Mrs. W. L, Bennett and Mrs. Cora Peake and Kathleen of Green Mountain visited Mrs. Peake! son, Sam Peake and family in Knoxville, Tenn. recently. * Rev. and kfrs. John Divers and family of Wake Forest, N. C. spent the weekend with Mrs Divers'sister, Mrs. W. A. Hig gins and Mr. Higgins. On Sa turday Mrs. Divers was enter - tained with a luncheon given by Mis. Joe Young. Twenty - Couple Wed Mr. and Mrs. Royce Hall of Micaville announce the marriage of their daughter Susan Carol, to Seaman Gor don Lane Miller, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie H. Miller of Burnsville. The wedding date was September 3rd. Seaman Miller is now sta tioned in Great Lakes, Illinois. Charlie Durant has returned to New York after spending two weeks with Dr. and Mrs, Fred Atwater. * * The Faith Fellowship Church held their Homecoming Sep tember 26th, beginning with dinner at the Community Buil ding, then to the new church for the worship service and singing. Dr. Fred Atwater and the Faith Fellowship Choir be gan the service with other singers doing the rest of the program. Those who helped were Mr. and Mrs. Edd Gouge and Billie, Rev. James Beaver and singers, The Blue Rock Choir, and Tyson Buchanan's Quartet. There were approxi mately 135 attending the ser - vice. two women attended. * Mb. Maigretta Magill who has been visiting with her two sisters, Mrs. Hobart Ray and Mrs. Ike La ugh run, was driwn home to Lexington, Ky. by them and ha brother - in-law, Ike Laughrun. * Misses Marilyn Laughrun and Jeannie Biggesstaff who have enrolled as freshmen at ASU were home during the weekend. * Tommy Tilson of Asherille visited his mother, Mrs. Bob Tilson over the weekend. * and Mb. Vaughty Allen, who has been a patient in Yancey Hos pital for a while has been re leased and is reported doing nicely at her home in Burns ville, N.C. * Mis.
