Gainer's par - ents, Mr. and Mb. Fred Sparks. lost Dog Seeks Heme About three weeks ago, a dog came to the home of Mrs. Betty Motsinger and had eight puppies. Mis. Motsinger says the dog is "nice, loving, and well mannered" and thatvhoever she belongs to must miss her. She has been told that the dog is a Red Bone Coon Hound, but Mrs. Motsinger thinks she boks like sn Irish Setter with short 'hair. If the owner will get in touch with Betty Motsinger at 682-3138, the mother and puppies will be returned. And Mrs. wayne u. uygert Fagan And Dygert United In Marriage Marriage vows were ex changed at Bolens Creek Bap tist Church on Saturday, February 5, by Janis Marie Fagan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Sterling Fagan of Burnsville and Wayne Charles Dygert, son of Mr. and Mrs. Vic Dygert of Hen detsonville. Dr. Joseph God win of Mars Hill officiated. The bride wore a full length dress of bridal satin, layered over on the bodice and the length of the dress in an open fashion with Chan tilly lace. The veil consis ted of a small pill box satin top with a full train follow - ing. The bride carried a bouquet of white daisies and the groom wore a white daisy boutineer. Attending the bride were Mrs. Manuel (Angie) Patino as matron of honor, wearing a blue empire cut dress, and the bride's two sisters, Karen and Diana Fagan, wearing similar dresses of green and lavender. All pttendents wore a halo of daisies and carried a single yellow rose bud. Attending the groom we* Manuel Patino as best man, and as ushers, John McKib ben and Fred King, all of Asheville. Present at the marriage were the parents of the bride and the groom and ' the groom's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Lawrence also from Hendersonville. Also attending were a partyjtom Atlanta, Georgia and a group of friends and relatives from Burnsville. Paddy Downing, a friend of the bride and groom, came from Leesburg, Va. where she is attending school,to be at the wedding. After spending several days at the a - attail Creek cabin of the George Down ings, the couple returned to Atlanta where they will be making their home. N l Cr N kou - 7° Distaff Deeds Shell House Converted Into a 'Dream House’ By JANICE R. CHRISTENSEN “We’ve taken our shell house, which was all we could afford at the time we built, and remodeled it into a dream house,” says Mrs. Matthew Kesler of Rowan County. The conversion from shell house to superhouse called for a new brick exterior, and a remodeled kitchen with greater cabinet space, paneling and new appliances. Also, one of the three bedrooms was paneled and converted into a family room. Before the major over haul, the Kesler family had made several minor changes. Including comple tion of the bathroom and the addition of more closet space. Furnlshings-wlse, Mrs. Kesler made draperies for the kitchen, living room and family room and bought draperies and matching bed spreads for the bedrooms. Friends and neighbors helped her paint the inside of the house. “Mrs. Kesler became president of her Extension Home rakers cSib in January,” Mrs. Louise Slade, home economics extension agent, reports. “She brought to that office that same traits she brought to the family housing effort patience and per severance,” the agent added. “SHADY BUSINESS” Members of the Cordova Juniors 4-H Club, Richmond County, have found away to perform a community ser vice and fatten their treasury. Noting that their neigh borhood is in a new devel opment, and therefore tree less, the group decided to do something about it.
