She was the widow of Jam e*

son, Carroll Duncan, both of
Route 3, Bakesville; four
sisters, Mrs. Blanche Pittman
and Mrs. Mabel Sparks,both
of Spruce Pine and Mb. Daisy
Greene and Mb. Nellie Ste
vens, both of Marion; 14 grand
children, 28 great-grandchild
ren and two great-great-g*nd
children.
Funeral Services were held
at 2 p.m. Saturday in Bear
Creek Baptist Church, of which
she was a member.

ual brsiness line rate to one and one half times the individual business line rate.

then of Westco Telephone Company and of intervenors and staff witnesses. Westco Telephone Company shall
have the burden of proof to snow that the proposed rate increases are Just and reasonable.

He had been seriously ill

Mr. Cooper, a retired ru
ral letter carrier, was bom

son of the late John Henry and
Emily Baker Cooper. He was
a member of the N.C. Legis
lator in the early 1920’5. He
had served for 45 years as a
member and chairman of the
Drexel School Board. He was
one of the founders and trus
tees of Bethlehem United

and the 3.5-inch rocket launch.

Army in September 1971 and
completed basic training at

He is a 1967 graduate of

received his B. S. degree in
1971 from North Carolina
State University, Raleigh. He
