/ fl \ aR i>2w 1 If mgr fIH Strawberries Anyone? Arthur Proffitt of Burnsville displays a bucket of straw - berries he got from a small planting. There were enough berries to fill his family needs with some left for Mends and neighbor. Proffitt obtained the plants from the Exten sion Sendee. It is estimated that it would take more than 20 acres of strawberries to supply the needs of Yancey Cou nty alone, so raising strawberries would provide a good oppor tunity for local people to earn extra money. Baccalaureate At Newdale A Baccalaureate service was held recently at Faith Fellowship Church, Newdale, North Carolina. The young people of the Church conducted a short pro gram and afterward Bibles were presented to each gradu ate. Dr. Fred Atwater, pastor, delivered the message.
