Robinson-Jones Are Married Miss Elizabeth Ann Robin son became the bride of Bernie Allen Jones at 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the Double Island Baptist Church. Rev. Paul Robinson, uncle of the bride, conducted the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Worley Robinson of Green Mountain. She is a graduate of East Yancey High School and is employed by Burnsville Mills. The bridegroom is the son of, Mr. and Mrs. William Matthew Jone?. of Green Mountain. He is a graduate of Cane River High School and is employed by Glen Raven Mills: Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of white Sata Peau-sheer, trimmed with imported re-embroidered Alencon lace, accented with Alencon lace appliques and seed pearls. Her cathedral length veil of silk illusion was attached to a Camelot headpiece of Alencon lace and seeded pearls. The bride designed and made her dress and veil. Miss Christine Robinson, sister of the bride was. maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Connie Randolph, friend of the bride and Mrs. Geiald C. Both Jim and his bride are pursuing medical careers. We all wish them many years of happiness. *• The Col Tyner family have arrived from Sarasota. They are looking forward to a back pack trip to Mt. Mitchell if this weather ever clears. ** The Donald MacDonalds (cousins of Ella Batcheller) have been staying at the Brown cabin with their five adorable Pekin ese dogs-while waiting for their new home at Mt. Mitchell Lands to be completed. •• The Donald MacDonalds hope to spend five months a year here in the mountains-five months in Miami, and the other two in Scotland, which was home to them for many years. They wore dresses of yellow dotted swiss with white and green flocked daisies. They wore white picture hats trimmed with yellow ribbons. Each earned a single long stemmed yellow rose. Junior bridesmaid was Janie Ann Jones, niece of the groom. She wore a green dotted swiss dress with yellow and white flocked daisies. She wore a white picture hat with a green ribbon and carried a yellow long stemmed rose. Flower girls were Andrea Dawn Robinson and Betty Rochelle Robinson, nieces of the bride. They were dressed like the junior bridesmaid. Each carried a basket of yellow rose petals. Ringbearer was Billy Jones, nephew of the groom. Dennis M. Jones, brother of the bridegroom was best man. Ushers were Terry Robinson of Bakersville and Jerry Robinson of Green Mountain, brothers of the bride. Music was presented for the wedding by Mrs. Clyde Mcln tosh of Burnsville. The reception followed at the Double Island Community Cen ter. The couple will make their home at Green Mountain. The Ed Kennys of Miami, Fla. will occupy the Flori-Days Cabin July and most of August. They have been summer visitors for many a year. ** The Wm. Helmintollers with daughter Raini from St. Peters burg, Fla. are spending the summer at the Nelson cabin. The Galloways (Mrs. H. par ents) are visiting with them from Tavares, Fla. They find this mountain air conditioning most invigorating. ** The Roger Frick family of Ft. Lauderdale are spending two weeks in Mary Meltons guest house. This is their third summer to be with us. ** July 3rd'is the 58th wedding anniversary of Keith and Mar guerite Phillips. Their daughter Betty Jamison and hubby are here to help them celebrate. The Karmarks of Opa Locka, the Burns and Busker famlies of Ft. Lauder dale, the LaPortes of Boca Raton and the Dye family from Toledo, Ohio. *• The Rev. Haglers returned recently and brought three Florida granddaughters with them for an extended stay. ** We’ll see you at the Community House July 4-and the Bingo games will start the following week on Wednesday night at 7:30. Come join us-we’ll be looking for you. Mrs. Gregory W. Albert Baggett And Albert Vows Are Spoken Miss Debra Lynn Baggett and Mr. Gregory W. Albert were married June 22 at 5 p.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church in a double ring ceremony. The Rev. Roger Home officiated. Miss Baggett is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. Durwood Baggett of Wilmington, N.C. and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Ross Albert of Wilson, N.C. The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a formal gown of white silk organza and alencon lace styled with fitted bodice, ring collar of lace, sheer yoke and long fitted lace sleeves. The dome skirt was styled with lace and pearl medallions and full border of lace scalloped at hemline extending into .i chapel train. She wore a lace camelot attached to tiered veil of imported silk illusion with scattered lace medallions. She carried a cascade bouquet of daisies with baby breath and orchid in the center. Maid of honor was Jennifer Smith of Greenville, cousin of the bride. She wore a formal gown of yellow dotted swiss with flocked daisies styled with bertha collar and fitted bodice. The skirt was princess line ending with a ruffled hemline. She wore a white picture hat and carried a cascade of daisies and babies breath with green streamers. They wore gowns similar to the honor attendanL-excludin p the ruffled hemline. All wore white picture hats and carries nosegays of daisies and baby’s breath. Best man was Dr. Tom Albert, brother of the groom of Champaign, 111. Ushers were Mr. Don Jackson of Dunn, N.C., cousin of the bride; Mr. Barry L. Heckard, Lebanon, Pa., cousin of the groom; Ronald K. Taylor of Bailey, N.C., Bill E. Brown, Wilson, N.C. and David Bagg.ett of Wilmington, brother of the bride. Musicians were vocalists, i Mary Catherine Albert, sopra no, and J. Ross Albert, Bass, m ■ sister and father of the groom. Flutist was Barbara Dawn Albert, sister of the groom. Trumpeter was Dr. Marvin Lamb and organist was Mr. Gene Featherstone. Pre-wedding music included vocal, flute, organ and trumpet with selections from Bach, Dvorak, Brahms and Ibert. The processional was the "Trumpet Voluntary” by J. Clarke and the recessional was “Allegro” from "Sonata in D” by Purcell. Out of town guests included Mrs. George A. Brown of Burnsville, grandmother of the bride; Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Smith of Hendersonville; and Misses Pam and Lisa Young of Burnsville and Jennifer Smith of Greenville, S.C., cousin of the bride. A reception was held in the church fellowship hail imme diately following the ceremony. The bride attended UNC-W during 1968-69 and graduated from ACC Wilson, N.C. with an AB in music in May, 1972. She formerly taught music in the Sampson Co. schools and will presently teach piano in Wilson. The bridegroom graduated from ACC Wilson, N.C., in May, 1971 with a BS degree in Art Education.
