Some 24 members and guests were in attendance. The Burnetts of Jacksonville are in and thinking seriously about spending much of their summer here next year. *** We at Cattail claim a half interest in the Donald Mac- Donalds who have moved into their new Mount Mitchell Lands Summer Place. They have just arrived back from Scotland with their two grandsons, Kevin, and Andrew. Also the boys’ tutor Qunidla Carlsson who is a native of Sweden. You’re really en chanted with the different brogues when you chat with them. Lest I forget they also brought back “Sir Leo” who has sired their five Pekinese and is a real champion. Mr. and Mrs. E.V. Garren have had as their guests this past week Mr. and Mrs. R. F. Brewton and Mrs. Ruth Gilbert of Mobile, Ala. Also Mrs. Garren’s sister, Mrs. Wm. Beasley of Moorehead City, North Carolina. *** Leslie Olson and her guest Debbie Smith of Atlanta, have been enjoying the Rob cabin. The girls have really lived it up picking blackberries and hiking these trails. Hope to see more of you girls next year. *** The Col. Tyners left Monday to wend their way back to Sarasota where both children attend schools for exceptional children. And they are most exceptionally smart children. Could be genius material-and right in our midst. They are a wonderful family and I already miss them. •*« That’s the news for this week. Just two more weeks of Bingo.
