F. Hunter of «<_ v Mrs. Alice Carroll To Celebrate 88th Year On December 30 Mrs. Alice Carroll of Route 2, Burnsville will celebrate her 88th birthday. Mrs. Carroll is a lifelong resident of Yancey County. She was bom on Green Mountain near Burnsville and is the only surviver of nine brothers and sisters of whom she was the eldest. She has seven children, twenty grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.
