If Attend Obedience Clinic Four instructors from the Land of the Sky Obedience Club of Asheville were in Atlanta. Ga. for a three day intensive study in dog obe dience training at the William Koehler Clinic. The participants were Jessica Nichols, dub presi dent; Angela Brookshire, training director; Jo McGinnis and Dot Stepp. These instruc tors are now demonstrating Koehler’s techniques in dog obedience classes. Miss Nichols is from Burnsville and is owner of the Country Livin’ Boarding Ken nels and Grooming Shop. She has been in obedience since the age of 13, and now instructs 'advance novice classes for the club. At the present time, Jessica is obedience training, trialing and All Breed showing her two Rottweilers and one German Shorthaired Pointer. Obedience classes will be held this spring in Burnsville. WNC Nurse Speaks On Infant Deaths Mrs. Carol Ingram, the SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) nurse-counselor for Western North Carolina, /was guest speaker at the September meeting of the Burnsville Woman’s Club. The meeting was held last Thursday evening at the Community Building on Ro bertson Street. Guests at the meeting included Dr. W.A.Y. Sargent. Yancey County Coroner, and two members of the Yancey County Rescue Squad, Clyde Styles and Jim Buckner.
