o\\ GIRLSCOUMEUKI * BY BEE YOUNG Cadette GS Reporter The Cadette Girl Scout r eeting April 6, 1977 began with Easter egg decorating. Colored eggs were trimmed with butterflies and colored cracked eggs were filled with Cotton chides. These were used to decorate an Egg Tree which the girls took to Haven Heights Rest Home. Before going to Haven Heights, Elisia Higgins serv ed refreshments. Cadettes made plans for using their share of profit from the 75 cartons, or 900 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies they soldi Joy Bennett, Donna Braithwaite, Lisa Grindstaff, Here And There... Also visiting was Wes Tallent of Burlington, N.C. Katrina Adkins and Gregg Cash of Erwin, TN visited Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Miller of Burnsville on Sun day, April 10. •* Mr. and Mrs. Carl Rogers and sons, Mark and Chucky of Chattanooga, Tennessee visi ted her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Allen and other rela tives during the past week. After returning to the Catholic Church where the Cadettes meet, girls rehears ed a Scout fun song. Each Cadette left with a .racked egg hatching a cotton ball chick. Thanks to Brenda Williams and her ipother, there were plenty of clacked egg shells for the chicks. Hope your Easter was happy. Pate Jr. and family of North Augusta, Staff Sgt. Blaine Swann Jr. of Ft. Benning, Ga., Mrs. Ruth Harmon and granddaughter and Mr. Jack Lee of Cleve land, Tennessee were here last week for the funeral of Miss Ruth Pate. Ramps are in! The group of parents and children were shown films on health and safety, and fairy tales. A luncheon was prepared by the Center staff, followed by an Easter egg hunt. Each child received a certificate of merit for their year of achievement. If anyone wishes to enroll their child In the Head Start or Home Start program, call. 765-9626 for information.
