Approximately 300 students and guests attended the affair. The guests started arriving around 7:00 to have pictures taken. The band Rize started playing at 7:30 and played till 11:30. Refresh ments were served during the evening. -By Jane Allen BETA CONVENTION Thirty-four members of the Mountain Heritage Beta Club attended the 39th Annual State Beta Gub Convention in Asheville on April 15-16. Janice Bigger staff who won District 8 Secretary, ran for State Secretary. It was a close race, with Sylvia Phillip from Harrell’s Christian Academy winning within five votes. MH Beta Gub stayed at the Inn on the Plaza. They left Friday morning around 9:30 and returned Sunday at 10 in the morning. Miss Gwen Harris and Mrs. Mary Swann, who are sponsors of the Gub, served as chaperones. Dr. McCall, who recently opened a dental office in Burnsville, and his staff explained the importance of taking care of the teeth and gums as well as the use of various dental instruments. Dr. McCall’s staff is composed of Linda Rainain dental hygienist, Debbie Bu chanan-dental assistant, and Van Thomas-secretary. Stephanie Allen, a H.O.
