gather on the square and display such varied
talents as nallcrafting and sandpainting. Familiar
names such as Luther Thomas, Bertha Bennett and
> Thomas Oates will hang alongside such newcomers

Popular demonstrations such as Mrs. Bertha
Byrd’s apple butter will be Joined by the turning of
Charles Thomases’ gris mill and Cell Whitebrook’s
welding and soldering of metal sculpture.
jsome added features of this year’s Fair will be
supervised parking lots for visitors and bee shuttle

will keep their booths open until 8:00 p.m. Friday to
accommodate latecomers and those who work
during the day. The barbecue pit will be extended
to serve upward of two thousand chicken dinners.
Tickets for the barbecue will be sold early Saturday

Certain aspects of the Fab will remain the
same-the same friendly openness of the
townspeople and merchants, the same delicious
flavor of barbecue chicken, the same hustle and
bustle of crowds inspecting Craftsmen’s wares,
enjoying games or relaxing on the village green.
