Mr. and Mrs. Weldon Davis and daughter of Marietta, Ga. are visiting Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Pipes Hal Gentry, son of Mr. and Mrs Abner Gentry, left Monday to serve in the U. S. N avy. Misses Doris Hendrlx and Sue Ferguson left Sunday for Leaksville where they teach school. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Farmer of Dallas, Texas ar rived In Murphy last Friday to spend several days with relatives and friends. Mrs. R. L. Donley is still In a Murphy hospital. We wish her a speedy recovery. Mr. Arthur Boyd who suffered a heart attack several weeks ago,has returned home from the hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Fanning of Rossville, Ga. spent the week-end with Mr. and Mrs. O'Neal Crisp. Mr. and Mrs. Gean Ledford and son, Bruce, have returned to their home In Washington, D. C. after several days visit with relatives here. We are glad Mrs. Arnold Kllpatrick. who underwent surgery In a local hospital, has returned home and Is get ting along fine. Mrs D. H. Boyd has gone to Ashland, Ky. to visit relatives. Then she will go on to her home in Bayside.Va. D. H.
