Clay County citizens got a first hand view of Boy Scouts and a Scout camp this wast week-end when Scout Mast Herman Thornburg and Asst., Mike Clark and the Boy Scouts camped on the Courthouse square from Fri day afternoon until Sunday, in obersvance of BoyScoutweek. The weather was extremely cold; but these boys and their leaders withstood it like the troopers they have been trained. Everyone looked at this group with admiration ?s they cleaned the square, the courthouse, went about doing good deeds for people and attended church in a group Sunday morning. They kept their camp clean and neat and when they packed ig> Sunday and moved out, the square and courthouse was much neater and cleaner than before the boys started camp. The following boys camped: Bud Garrison, Senior Pt 1 Leader, Bill Ledford and Ron nie Beal, Patrol Leaders, Tommie Beal, Steve Arm strong, Brent Carter, Riley Dickerson, Jerry Hall, Hubert Ledford, Larry Groves, Kenny McCIure, Bill Martin.
