heart attack while working at
the Nantahala Power Co.
Mr. A'ien was a native of
Swain County, a eon of Mr.
and Mrs. John G. Allen, who
survive. He had lived in Macon
County for 26 yeara. He waa a
sawmill operator and trucker
mti was engaged in a Job for
the power company when
stricken. He waa a member of
Bethel Hill Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to the
parents, are the widow, Mrs.
Eulee Douthitt Allen; a daugh
ter, Miss Mary Lou Allen of
the home; three sisters, Mrs.
Pearl Kalath and Mrs. Mae
Merrett of Charlotte and Mrs.
Blanche Tumblln of Marietta.

Mr. Blevlns was a native of
Ashe County, a son of Mrs.

He had lived In the Andrews
section since 1933. He was an
employe of The Texas Co. for
20 years, and was Texaco dis
tributor In the area for 12
years. He was active in An
drews First Baptist Church
a Mason and a former mem
ber of Andrews Rotary Club.

It was made of Peau-de-soie.
The fitted bodice was of self
material overlaid with
Alencon lace, featuring a low
round neckline with tiny lace
scallops. The sleeves were
elbow length, shirred and
closed with covered buttons.
The skirt was a full circle
with two lace gallons down the
front. The bride wore a strand
of pearls, a gift of the groom.
Her veil of illusion was
attached to a pearl and tiower
tiara. She carried a white
Bible topped with a white
orchid.
Miss Norma George Jarrett
sister of the bride of Danville,
Ky. was maid of honor. Her
dress was green nylon organdy
over taffeta with a low round
neck and a full skirt. She
carried a cascade bouquet of
solid yellow carnations.
She wore a picture hat
of material matching her
dress. Mrs. Hayford Hawks,
roommate of the bride of Mt.
Airy and Miss Rebecca Smith

Hayesvllle High School and
graduated from Pfleffer Col
lege with her A. B. Degree.
The groom graduated from
McCallle Military School at
Chattanooga Tenn., and
attended Pfleffer College. The
couple will live In Key West,
Florida where the groom Is
stationed with the U. S. Navy.
The mother of the bride
wore a Pink Irish linen dress
with pink accessories and had
a Cymbtdum orchid corsage.
