Letter To Editor
The Editor:
Our community Isn't very
large and on a still, quiet
Sunday we can hear the chimes
ring out from the Hayesville
Methodist Church and also
bells ringing from the other
churches near by in the county.
We were very shocked Sun
day morning when this quiet
ness was Interrupted about
9 a.m. by a bull dozer plow
ing up a newly cleared field
and the loud sound continued
until the mid-afternoon when
the field was completed.
It was a very unwelcome
sound in our community and
although the land looks much
nicer, it disturbed the day of
rest and meditation that our
commwlty has always known
as the Sabbath or the "Lord's
Day."
