Surviving are four slaters, Mrs. Walt Evans and Mrs. VI vtal Cook of Robblnsvllle; Mrs. Bill Moore of Andrews, and Mrs. Lonas Clark of MaryvUle, Tenn.; and two brothers, Paul and O. W. Hooper of Robblnsvllle. Services were held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Long Creek Baptist Church. The Rev. Claude Taylor of ficiated and burial was in Old Mother Cemetery. Bmce was burled from Friendship Church at 2:00 p.m. 38-Murphy High Students Make Trip To Capitol MURPHY - Thirty - eight Murphy High School seniors and three sponsors boarded the bus for Washington Mon day, March 25, between 11:30 and 11:00 a.m. After arriving In Ashevllle, they changed to a train. On arrival at Greens boro, the seniors enjoyed a current movie. They arrived In Washington at 6:55 ajn. Tuesday morning, and visited some of the his torical sites that afternoon. The evening was free for en IC1 UUIIIIIVUM On Wednesday, the seniors visited the Smithsonian Insti tute, the Capitol Building, and many more places of Inter est. That night they went to Glen Echo Amusement Park for an evening of fun. Thursday, (today) they will check out of their rooms and visit the White House and the zoo. They then board the train for home. Friday morning the seniors will arrive inAshevllleat9HX) a.m. The chartered bus will be waiting to return them to Murphy.
