Proposed Trailer
Park In E. Murphy
MURPHY - A group of prp
perty owners and residents
on Mauney Street In Murphy
met with the Town Board at
the board's regular meeting
Monday night, April 8, at the
Murphy Poster Board Build
ing.
The Maimey Street group
presented a petition to the
board protesting "the build
ing of a trailer court by Mrs.
Leila Dickey at the end of
Mauney Street."
The petition Is as follows:
"To The Town Board,
Murphy, North Carolina: We,
the undersigned property own
ers, protest the building of a
trailer court by Mrs. Leila
Dickey at the end of Mauney
Street. Inasmuch as the deeds
of many of us have building
restrictions in them, with
which we have complied, we
feel that a trailer court would
damage us by making this a
less desirable neighborhood,
and thereby decrease the value
of our property.
Further, we would like to
ask you to consider the ad
visability of zoning this street
for residential purposes.
