The Lions Club will bring
the Georgia Amusement Show
to Murphy for the first time

appeared for years at the
Georgia Mountain Fair at Hl

Exhibitors will display their
wares In the Old Rock Gym,
the Old Gym, and livestock
barn.
According to Dave Moody,
president of the Murphy club,
the Tri-State Rockhounders of
Brasstown are planning a large

Sunbeam Day Camp
MURPHY - The Sunbeam
Baptist Day Camp will be
August 12 at the Truett Camp
near Hayesvllle. Registration
will be from 9:30 to 10:00a.m.
At this time the program
will begin, with the theme
for the year, "Shining for
Jesus through world missions*"
being carried out.
The following churches will '
have sunbeams present: An
drews, Brasstown, Marble, Mt.
Pleasant; Mt.Plsgah, Murphy,
Peachtree, Truett Memorial,
and Valley River.
They will represent the fol
lowing countries: Alaska,
Brazil, Bquador, China, Japan
India, Mexico and Peru.
Storyteller for the day will
be Miss TrilbyGlenn, who will
give stories of all the dif
ferent countries being repre
sented. Pastor for the day will
be Thad Dowdle of Marble
Baptist Church.
The children will be served
lunch consisting of weiners,
pork and beans, potato chips,
cookies and ice cream.
Following lunch there will
be a handiwork period.
