N DREWS IN Lucy Lought*r S??H Cerrespwideel 101-W Andrew*, N.C Santa Arrives Fridav In Christmas Parade ANDREWS * The Christmas parade, an annual event, is scheduled for Friday alter - noon, beginning at 4 p.m. Santa will arrive on the acene loaded with candy and accompany the parade, which Will begin near the Pure Oil Station proceeding through Main Street to the east end of town. Sharing the spotlight with Sanu will be floats. School Band, Homecoming Queen, marching units, horses and several automobiles, be decked with typical red and green holiday colors. John Boring is the general chairman of the Christmas Parade committee. Other members include Lee Nich ols, Churches: C. O. Frazier, Bands and Music; Joe El - Khouri, Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts; W. D. Whitaker, Busi ness and Industry; Grady Gar rett, Old Car Entries; Charles Higdon and Ty Burnette, Rid ing Club; Sam Hartman, Civic Clubs. Plans indicate this year's parade to be one of the best in recent years. 1 5 A ttend Youth Meeting ANDREWS - The Youth Fel lowship of the Presbyterian Church met on Sunday even ing at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Bristol. Refresh ments were served to fifteen members of the youth group. Sponsors of this group are Mrs. L. B. Nichols and Mrs. Joe Sursavage.
