Rlckman, field represen tative serving Cherokee County, stated recently. In order to insure proper credit for his earnings, a worker should present his so cial security card to his em ployer immediately upon re porting for work. The em ployer should make a permanent record of the name and number, so it can be properly reported. Occasionally a social se curity number may be trans posed or omitted when the social security report is pre pared. This means that the wage earner cannot receive credit for his wages until cor rect information is furnished. When an incorrect or in complete report is received in the Social Security Re cords Division in Baltimore, Md., a request for correct information is sent to the em ployer. It is very important that the employer reply to any such requests as promptly as possible. If he does not re spond promptly, the item is referred to the proper Social Security District Office for contact to secure the missing information. Botn employees and em ployers have a responsibility for correct reporting - the employee should be sure to let his employer make a record of his social security number, and the employer should be careful to show the correct number on all reports. Dear Folks : As Christmas approaches and as 1963 draws to a close, we pause for a moment to think of what it means to us... of its joys and of its sorrows. One of the great joys of Life, as we see it, is friendship. A true friend is a valued possession. What is true of our personal lives is also true of our business lives. We like to feel that there is a spirit of friendship underlying each business transaction. We like to think of our customers ias our friends. We like to value our business friendships as we value our personal friendships. As an expression, therefore, of our genuine appre ciation of your friendship and all that it has meant to us, we wish you and those whom you love, a joyful Christmas Season and a New Year brimful of good things.
