ANSWER: No, this com mand is not given in the New Testament. It was surely part of the Law of Moses or the Old Testa ment (Mai. 3:8-10) where the people were command ed to give a tenth of all their possessions to the Lord. The New Testament commands us to give as we are prospered or give to the Lord in proportion to what we have. There is no set amount given, but we are told to give liber ally and since the law of Christ offers more than the law of Moses, it should require more. We are also told to give cheerfully and not of necessity (II Cor. 8, 9) upon the first day of the| yeek (I Cor. 16:2). Radio programs on HCRK: Sunday 8:15; 8:30.
