MARTIN BENEFIELD HA YES VILLE -Martin And rew Benefield, 84, a native of Clay County, died Sunday, December 6, at the home of a foster son, Otis Hopper, in Cleveland, Ga., after a long Illness. His wife was the late Nancy Attn Benfleld. He was a member of Truett Memorial Baptist Church. Other survivors are a bro r ther, Willie Benefield of Ath ens, Ga., six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; six foster grandchildren and nine - foster great-grandchildren. Services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday In Union Grove Congregation Holiness Church of Cleveland, Ga. The Rev. Asa Dorsey and the Rev. L. G. Howard offi ciated and burial was in the church cemetery. Ledford, Infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Ledford of Hay esville, died Wednesday, Dec. 2, in a Hlawassee, Ga., hos pital after a few hours Illness. HARVEY THOMASSON MURPHY -Harvey Thomas son, 69, of Murphy, died early Monday, Dec. 7, in his home following a long illness. He was a native of Chero kee County, a disabled veteran of World War 1 and a member of Boiling Springs Baptist Church. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Rosa Lee Burgess Tho rn asson; a daughter, Miss C arm alee Thomasson o t the home; two sons, James of Murphy and George W. Tho masson of the U. S. Army, Ft. Hood, Texas; three bro thers, Lee of Oklahoma, Leo nard of Arizona and Joseph of California; and a sister, Mrs. Frank Mulkey of Akron, Ohio.
