MRS. SAM. R. AMMONS celebrated her 90th birthday on

business in Cherokee and adjoining counties for many years.
Mrs. Amnions was in the grocery business in Andrews for 32
years before declining health. Many friends called to wish
her a happy birthday. She makes her home with her daughter,
Mrs. Hartie Bennett, on Collett Street. She has two other dau
ghters, Mrs. Paul Cragg of Black Mountain, and Mrs. Flora
Johnson of Franklin.
