LIVESTOCK FARMERS, who are purchasing corn through the Livestock Feed Program at Wells' Mobile Milling in Murphy, should keep in mind that THURSDAYS is the only day in the week that the corn may be picked up. This corn will be available to livestock owners who do not have adequate feed supply through April 30, 1965. Applications may be filed in the ASCS office at any time. Approved cora-may be paid for and your delivery order obtained any day. Any farmer who has a stand of grass which he is going to completely reestab lish due to severe damage caused by unfavorable weat her conditions which existed throughout the 1964 growing season, should file his app lication for cost sharing un der the Emergency ACP by March 5, 1965. ?*?*?????* Several Special ACP pro jects are underway through out the county. Others will be approved during this week. Approvals under this project are based on the conservation need of the farm and the fin ancial status of the farmer. The intent is to help farmers who are making most of their livelihood from farming. Such farmers must show a need for assistance and a plan showing how this help will in crease their income from farming. CHURCH HEWS HAYESVILLE- The W.M.S. of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church held their meeting Tuesday night at the church at 7:30 p.m. The topic was "Baptists in Alaska, U.S.A." Mrs. War ren Ripley, who has toured Alaska showed slides and gave a very interesting talk. Mrs. Jessee Bailey spoke about the Baptist work In Alaska. Mrs. Clyde Ashe gave the closing meditation. ?????????? A home mission study, "Winds of Change" will be held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. H. E. HAYESVILLE- There will be an important meeting on vine-ripe tomatoes at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, February 26 in the Assembly Room of the county agent's office in Hay es vilie. At his meeting we will bring the farmers up-to-date in re gards to what has been done on market for this year and information on plant product ion will be discussed. Farm ers will be given a guide line for the production of vine ripe tomatoes and time will be allowed for farmers to ask questions. Seed will be available for any farmer who wishes to ob tain seed at this time. We are looking forward to each farmer being present who wishes to produce tom atoes for sale. There will be a product ion meeting on beef cattle and sheep in the Assembly Room of the County Agent's office at 1:00p.m. on Tuesday, March 2. To assist with this meeting we will have with us A. V. Allen from N. C. Extension service and H. Q. Quessen berry from N. C. Department of Agriculture. This meeting will be for the purpose bringing farmers up-to-date on the livestock situation, management of beef cattle and sheep and the outlook for 1966 on each of these enterprises. Good health practices will be discussed for both of these livestock enterprises. You are invited to attend this important meeting and bring someone with you.
