year. He picked this one out of the water with a white
Doll Fly.

tion session for delegates to
the National Council, Girl Sc
outs of the United States of
America, at Canton Y.M.C.A.
Wednesday.
The meeting, sponsored by
Pisgah Girl Scout council wh
ich covers 16 Western North
Carolina counties, was the
first of a series to prepare
official delegates to the 37th
meeting of the National Co
uncil to be held in Detroit
Michigan, October23-27,
1966.
The delegation from Pisgah
Council includes seven official
delegates or elected delegates
to fill vacancies. They were
chosen at the annual meeting
of Pisgah council this spring
and include, in addition to Mrs.
Warner, the following, Mrs.
H.J. Macemon of Henderson
ville, Mrs. James Gudger of
Sylva, Mrs. William Pomeroy
and Mrs. Donald Krause of
Asheville, Mrs. W.A. Y.
Sargent of Burnsville and
Mrs. O.A. Gregory of Mars
hall, President of Pisgah Girl
Scout council.
The national council meets
every three years. More than
3,300 delegates and 5,000 ob
servers and visitors are ex
pected to attend. The theme
of die meeting is Girl Scout
ing-Values to Hold, Worlds to
Explore.
"Horn In The West"
To Hold Auditions
BOONE, N.C.-Final auditi
ons to fill last-minute va
cancies in the production staff
of "Horn in die West" will be
held Friday at 2:00 p.m. on
stage of the Daniel Boone Am
phitheatre in Boone.
Rehearsals begin Saturday
for the "Horn's 15th season
opening June 25.
Several principal understu
dy roles are yet to be filled.
Understudies for the parts of
Daniel Boone, Preacher Sims,
and Judge Henderson will be
chosen during the Friday try
outs.
In addition, five positions in
the drama's chorus are to be
filled. Altos and tenors are
especially needed.
Production director Gene
Wilson reports that all pos
itions in the dancing and tech
nical units have been filled.
The cast will number app
roximately 85 when auditions
are complete.
