DELLA WIGGINS ANDREWS?Mrs. Delia Rosetta Wiggins, 95, of And rews, died about 4 a.m. Thursday, October 20 in a lo cal hospital following a brief illness. Mrs. Wiggins was a native of Bryson City but had lived in Andrews most of her life. She was a daughter of die late Kenner and Annie Gib son and the widow of Fldellie Wiggins. Surviving are six dau ghters, Mrs. Cordellie Stew art, Mrs. Elmer Stewart and Mrs. Hettie Stewart, all of Andrews, Mrs. Birdie Laipg of Asheville, Mrs. Martha Messer of Gastonia and Mrs. Addie Stewart of Se dro Wooley, Washington; a son, Fred Wiggins oif Gas tonia; 35 grandchildren, 114 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren. Services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home. The Rev. Weldon We-it off iciated and burial was in Va lleytown Cemetery. Pallbearers were Andy, Derlin, Gene, Harley and Mil lie Stiles and Claude Hodge. Ivie Funeral Home was in charge. ilLTON ROBINSON MURPHY?Milton L. Rob ison,84, died in a local ospital early Wednesday,Oct ober 19 alter a brief Illness. Mr. Robinson ?u ? nstlve of Fsnnln County, Ga., son oi the lste Gsythor and Josephine Falls Robinson. He wss ? member of the Hot House Ba ptist Church, and s retired former of the Ivy Log Comm unity. Surviving sre two dau ghters, Mrs. Dossie Green and Mrs. Alawsys Cordell, both of Rt. 2, Murphy; two sons Earl snd Charlie Robinson of BlalrsvUle. Ga., three sisters Mrs. Gusts Farmer and Mrs. I iii? Farmer both of Meadow Bluff, Ga.. and Mrs. Ethel Mull of Copper hill, Term.; 12 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Services were held at 11 a.m. Friday in Bel view Me thodist Church. The Rev. Calvin Thompson and the Rev. Alfred Smith off iciated and burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were grand sons, Lenore and Ray Cordell. Harold Mull, Char les E. Green, John Beaver, and Horace Roberts. Ivie Funeral Home was in charge. GERTRUDE A LOUDERMILK MURPHY-Miss Gertrude A. Loudermilk. 55, died Tue sday morning, October 25 in a Haywood County hospital, after an extended illness. She was a native of Cher okee County, daughter of the late Thomas J. and Hester Robertson Loudermilk. She was a retired practical nurse, and a member of the Baptist Church in South Carolina. Surviving are five sisters, Mrs. Vesu Stiles and Miss Martha Loudermilk, both of Murphy, Mjrs. Bessie King of Oranburg, S.C., Mrs. Bettie Martin of Smyrna, Ga., and Mrs. Mary Lou Mauney of Blairsville, Ga.; two bro thers, L.C. of Franklin and Wayne Loudermilk of Mur phy. Services were held at U a.m. Wednesday in Bell view Methodist Church. The Rev. Calvin Thompson officated and burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Ro bert and Tommy Stiles, Er ola. Tuesday, October 11 tn an Andrews hospital after a brief illness, were held Thur sday at 11 a.m. In the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home. The Rev. Ted Ellis officated and burial was in Valleytown Cemeterv. Mr. Holland was a native of Selroa, Ala., had resided in Recorder's Court October 24,1966 Walter Kcphart plead not guilty to wilful damage t o personl property belonging to his landlord. He w?s found guilty and fined S100 plus die costs. The defendant appealed to Superior Court and posted $300 bond for his appearance there. Charles BruceHensonplead guilty to operating a motor vehicle in a careless and reckless manner and was or dered to pay the costs. Allen Ray Carringer plead guilty to speeding and was or dered to pay the costs. Charles Breodle plead guilty to speeding and was or dered to pay the costs. James H. Jones plead guilty to speeding failing to have his automobile inspected and was ordered to pay the costs. Carry McNabb plead not guilty to reckless driving. He was found guilty and fined $100 plus the costs. Willard Junior Pendergrass plead guilty to speeding and was ordered to pay the costs. Roy Baker plead not guilty to operating a motor vehicle in a careless and reckless manner. He was found guilty and fined $50 plus the costs. A 90 day jail sentence was suspended. Melvin Benny Abernathy plead guilty to driving under the influence of intoxicating liquors (second offense) and without a valid N.C. operator's license. He was fined $225 plus the costs and a six mo nth jail sentence was sus pended. His Georgia driver's license was ordered turned in to the clerk. Stanley Carl Sneed plead not guilty to reckless drivii^. He was found not guilty on that charge but guilty of speediw and was fined $25 plus the costs. William Bradshaw plead not guilty to opearting a motor vehicle under the in fluence of intoxicating liquors He was found guilty and fined $100 plus the costs. The def endant appeals to Superior Court and posted $400 bond for his appearance there. Billy Smith plead not guilty to exceeding a safe speed, reckless driving and failii^ to stop for a stop sign. He was fined $60 plus the cost and a 60 day jail sentence was suspended. LUlie Smith plead not guilty to aiding and abetting one Bill Curtis in escape and to pub lic drunkeness. The defendant was found guilty and ordered to pay the costs. Franklin Thompson plead guilty to resisting arrest. CARL HEOOEN HATESV1LLE-- Carl Hed doi,76, of Hiwassee, Ga.,died in a Hiwassee hospital, Mon day October 26 following an extended illness. Mr. Hodden was a native of Towns County, Ga., and a son of the late William W. and Nan Sutton Hedden. He was a re tired plumber and political figure and a Mason. He served a number of years as clerk of court and was city councilman for a number of years. He was one of the ori ginal owners and operators of Hlwassee Water works. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Pearl Puett Hedden; three daughters, Mrs. Marl* gie Nicholson and Mrs. Jean Nichols .both of Hlwassee and Mrs. Juanlta Byrd of Decatur, Ga.; five sans, Carroll of To ccoa, Henry of Young Harris, James L. of Atlanu, Robert C. of Marietta and Michael D. Hedden of Lackland Air Force Base, Texas; two bro thers. Worth of Hlwassee and Jeff Hedden of Sylva; 24grand children and four great grand children. Services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday In McCoonell Memorial Baptist Church of which he was a member. The Rev. Jack Richardsoi officiated and burial was in Osborne Cemetery.
