The groom Is a 1964 graduate of Murphy High School and the bride is presently a senior there. JUDY MORROW toned Student Of The Month Miss Judy Morrow, 1967 Hiwassee Dam High School graduate, was chosen January Student of the Month at Mc Kenzie College - in Chattanooga. Her selection for this honor was based on an all A average for the fall quarter's work. While at Hiwassee Dam, Judy was salutatorian, vice president of the Beta Club, president of the Library Club in 1967 and a four-year mem ber of the Library Aide Corps, Junior class secretary, and was pictured in the 1967 Eagle yearbook as "Most Courteous" senior. ' CHURCH NOTESl Baptist churches throughout the nation will be obsewtag Race Relations Day on Sun ^The primary purpose of this observance U to in church members to put forth an effort In bettering human relations in the com munities where they llve; In North Carolina, there are more than 3400 churches in the predominantly white Baptist State Convention. These two conventions report a membership of over 1,300,000. The conventions w0" together invarious ways, to 1969 they will climax a united effort in evangelism by co sponsoring a statewide con ference on evangelism in Greensboro. The Department of Inter racial Cooperation of these two conventions offers free materials and personnel to help churches with promotion of Race Relations Sunday and other prolects. That ?ddress is Box 9523, Raleigh, N.C. The Lydla Sunday School Class of the First Baptist Church met Monday even ing, Feb.5 in the home of Mrs. Jack Frauson with Mrs. James Hughes as co-hostess. The group visited Mrs. Mayes Behrman who Is sick and returned to the home of Mrs. Fruason and held their meeting. Mrs. Kenneth Graham, pre sident, presided over the busi ness.
