Janie Hall Miss Harber Is Wed To Robert Hill Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Albert Harber, Jr. of Thomson, Georgia, announce the marriage of their daughter, Katherine Lucile, to Robert Benjamin Hid, son of Dr. and Mrs. J. N. Hill, Jr. of Murphy, North Carolina. The wedding took place in Aiken, South Carolina, December 31st. The bride is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Henry Fowler of Wanenton and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Albert Harber of Commerce. Mrs. Hill was graduated with a B. S. Degree in Education from the University of Georgia where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta and served as Executive Commander of Angel Flight She is employed by the DeKalb County Board of Education. Mr. Hill is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Benjamin Gilbert of Bostwick, Georgia, and the late Mr. and Mrs. J. N. Hill of Murphy. He will graduate in March from Western Carolina University where he is a member of Delta Sigma Phi. He plans to enter the University of Georgia Law School in the fall. Murphy Garden Club Holds February Heeling The February meeting of the Murphy Garden Club w* hdd at the home oC Mrs. Francis Bourne Jr., with Mrs. Margaret Gibbs as co-hostess on Thuisday, Febunury 27th. The president Mrs. Ruth Forsyth, opened the meeting with the Garden Club Collect. A most instructive talk on Litterbugging was given by Miss Leila Hayes. We were reminded that this is a long range problem which has been with us for a long time and can probably only be solved through education. She did, however, offer several suggestions as to what can be done in the meantime to alleviate the situation. Mis. Bourne, Litterbug Chairman, then announced that the spring pick-up would be held April 16th. Announcement of the date will be in the newspapers and on the radio well in advance. Garden Club members will visit schools the week before pick-up, and the mayor will proclaim that week as "Clean-Up Week". Mrs. Mary Faye Brumby has been appointed in Mrs. Louise Fuller's place on the committee.
