Ivie Funeral Home Murphy-Andrews-Hayesville BRYAN BRYSON ANDREWS - Bryan Biyvn, 73, died Saturday night. May 3rd in a local hospital after a short illness. A native of Cherokee, he wa* a retired farmer. He was a veteran of World War 1. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Clark Byers of Culberson nd Mrs. Troy Cable of Andrews; two sons, Walter J. and James R. Bryson, both of * . Andrews; five brothers. Booth, Bruce, Benny and Walter, all of ^Andrews, and Richard Bryson of Asheville; and five grandchildren. Services were held at 10 a.m. Monday in the chapel of lie Funeral Home. ' The Rev. Grady Chastain officiated. Burial was in the > Valley Town Cemetery. ?' Ivie Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. ZEB V. JOHNSON HAYESVILLE - Zeb V. Johnson, 92, died Tuesday night, April 29 in a Hiawassee, Ga., hospital after a long illness. A native of McDowell County, he had lived moet of his life in CUy County and was a retired farmer. For the past seven years, he lived with a niece. Mis. Bertha Daily of Hayesville. Surviving are a son, Ivan Johnson of Hayesville; and a sister, Mrs. Minnie Bayless of Buhl, Idaho. Services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Hayesville Church of God. The Rev. Kenneth Looney officiated. Burial was in Fires Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers were grandsons, Garnett, Ervin, Douglas, Larry and Rex Johnson and Ondas Brown. I vie Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. HILL DOCKERY ANDREWS - Services for Hill Dockery, 62, who died Saturday in a local hospital after a short illness will be held at 4 p.m. Monday in Red Marble Baptist Church of which he was a member. The Rev. France Postell and the Rev. Cliff George officiated Burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were nephews. A retired machine operator of Champion Fiber Co., he was a native of Cherokee County. Surviving ate his widow, Mrs. Ester Mae Jones Dockery. two daughters, Mrs. Dillard Mehaffey of Robb?nsville and Mrs. Charles Cross of Andrews; seven sons. Dean and Boyd, both of Andrews, Kendall and Chuck, both of Valdese, Ronald of Nebo, Carroll of Mooresville, and James Dockery of Albuquerque, N. M.; two sisters, Mrs. Azalee Graves of Murphy and Mrs. Grace Postell of Andrews: five brothers, J. W. and Vernon, both of Andrews, Cliff of Morganton, Nathan of Westminster, S. C., Roy Dockery of Valdese; and 16 grandchildren. The body remained at lvie's Funeral Home until the services. MRS. JOE LEDFORD ANDREWS - Mrs. Joe Ledford, 68, died Sunday morning in a Murphy hospital after a short illness. A native of Cherokee County, she was a member of Andrews First Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, Joe Ledford; a (laughter, Shirley Ledford of the home; three sons, Kenneth of Andrews, James and Eugene Ledford, both of Waynesville; a sister, Mrs. Daisey Adams of Marble; three brothers, George, Neal and Oscar Lunsford, all of Andrews. Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday in Valley River Baptist Church. The Rev. France Postell and the Rev. Fred Lunsford officiated. Burial was in Moss Cemetery, Marble. Pallbearers were Jack Mintz, Jack Adams, Jerry Hancock, Bill Ledford, Ken Bradley and James Morgan. The body remained at lvie's Funeral Home until the services. WILL M. ENSLEY ANDREWS ? Will M. Ensley, 74, died early Wednesday in a local hospital after a brief illness. A native of Union County, Ga., he had lived most of his life in Andrews and was a retired employe of the Teat Extract Co. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Effie Logan Entity ; three daughters. Mis. W. W. Woody of Alcoa, Tenn., Mrs. Howard Gtogan of Canton and Mrs. Billy West of Andrews; five sons, Melvin of Cramertoo, Austin of Canton, Ohio, Ronald and Vean, both of Augusta, Ga., and Wilton Ensley of Andrews; a brother Chester Ensley, of Charlotte; two sisters, Mrs. Bruce West and Mrs. John Garten, both of Andrews; 19 grandchildren and a great - grandchild. Services were held at 4 p.m. Thursday in Valley River Baptist Church. The Rev. Robert Barker and the Rev. France Postell officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Grady Anderson, Walter Ensley, Zelmon Clark, Austin West and Lawrence and Lewis Hyde. The body remained at Ivie Funeral Home until placed in the church. They won over three teams on Friday night and competed for the championship on Saturday night. There were 20 members of the group attending the three night festival.
