Andrews-Muiphy airport now has a 4300-foot runway and
a complete lighting system-including rotating beacon and
three obstruction beacons on nearby mountain tops-making
this the largest and most up-to-date N. C. airfield wast of
AheesiHo. It can accommodate craft such as the Executive
Model Lear Jet, shown above. Begun in June 1968, work

moss Jasper and -lume jasper,
as well as sper tens that are
partly transluet :t and partly
opaque. The term "jasper
agate" applies here.
Bloodstone is a dark green
jasper with small bright red
spots. Early Christian legend
attributes these spots to drops
of blood from Jesus on the way
to the crucifixion.
