Services for Wade (Jack)
Venson Jones, 56, of Andrews,
who died Friday in a LaGrange,
Ga., hospital were held at 2 p.m.
Sunday in the chapel of Ivie
Funeral Home.
The Rev. J.B. Gregory
officiated. Burial was in Valley
Town Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Dewey
Eller, James Jones, Bob Vieu,
Bill Tatham, J.J. Shuler and
Michael Geegory.
Mr. Jones was employed by
D.L. Shuler Construction Co and
was a native of Andrews.
Surviving are the widow,
Mrs. Ruth Barker Jones; six
sons, Carroll of Marble, John R.
Howard and Donald, all of
Andrews, Ray of Waynesville
and Gary Jones of Ft. Knox,
Ky.; a brother, Elbert Jones of
Maryville, Tenn.' four sisters,
Mrs. Hadie Hardin of Anckews,
Mrs. Carrie Hardin of Gastonia,
Mrs. Elma Truett of Nebo and
Mrs. Fannie EUer of
RobbinsviUe; and seven
grandchildren.
Ivie Funeral Home was in
charge of arrangements.

Luther Burton Anderson,
70, died Tuesday morning in an
Andrews Hospital after a long
illness.
He was a retired tannery
employee.
Surviving are the widow,
Mrs. Cordie Parker Anderson;
two sons, Rev. Harold of Marble
and Larry Anderson of
Andrews; one step-son,
Desmond Parker of Andrews;
two daughters, Mrs. Frances
Anderson and Mrs. Bonnie
Mann both of Canton; three
step-daughters, Mrs. Mary
Ruth Griggs, of Andrews;
Misses Betty Jean and Louise
Parker of the home; one
brother, Ray Anderson of
Dallas; four sisters, Miss

Baptist Church.
The Revs. Homer Wilson
and Ray Morris officiated and
burial was in Valleytown
Cemetery. Nephews were
pallbearers.

In Musical
Anthony Satterfield, a
resident of Hayesvilk, has the
lead in the musical, "The
Gondoliers", to be produced on
the Young Harris College
campus, on April 16,17 and 18.
"The-Gondoliers", written
by Gilbert and Sullivan, is set in
Venice in the year 1750 and is
concerned with the succession
to the thro ne of an empire called
Barataria. The musical
includes a number of amusing
encounters and several cases of
mistaken identity.
The musical should provide
an evening's entertainment for
all who wish to attend. Tickets
will be on sale at the door.
