Lessons Offered At Pool Swimming lessons and life saving courses will be taught at the Lions Club Pool in Murphy, beginning July 5. The swimming lessons will be on Monday morning, July 5, and run from 10 a.m. until 11:30 ajn. Monday through Friday for two weeks. Interested persons should enroll at the pool before the lessons start. Junior and Senior saving couses will be taught at the pool, beginning at 6 p.m. on July 5. Those interested should contact George El-Khouri in Andrews for further information. Rescue Squad Sets Barbecue A barbecue will be held on Saturday afternoon at the Bayesville High School cafeteria, sponsored by the Clay County Rescue Squad. Serving hours are from 4:30 until 8:30 p.m.. Equilvalency Tests Slated G.E.D. High School Equivalency Tests will be given at Tri-County Technica Institute on Friday night, July 10, and on Saturday, July 11. Testing will begin at 6:30 p.m. Friday night, July 10. Those planning to take the test should make application as soon as possible. These application blanks can be secured at school superintendent's offices. The completed application forms must be sent to Tri County Tech before you can be registered for the test. A testing fee of $3 will be charged. This fee must be paid at the time of testing.
