Swanson Will Sumey. formerly of the Tusquittee community, who was a patient in Crawford's Nursing Home in Canton for the past year has been moved to Towns County Nursing Home in Hiawassee, Ga. Mr .and Mrs. Thomas Allen Penland announce the birth of a daughter Jennifer Ann, in the Kennestone Hospital Marietta, Ga.July 30th.Mr. and Mrs. Penland are natives of Clay. Mrs. Penland is the former Mis Miss Gwen Ledford. Mr. and Mrs. Kieth Scroggs and son of Alexander, Va. have been returned home after visiting Mrs. Roy Galloway and Mrs. P.C. Scroggs. Mrs. Quinne (Burch) Gibson and Mrs. Ethel Curtis of Charlotte are spending this week with Mrs Mrs. Hoke McClure and Mrs. Hazel White. A cook-out was held Friday night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Carroll McClure. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Carol! Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Townely of Atlanta spent several days, lastweek with Mr. and Mrs. Carl Moore. Mr. and Mrs. Cleo Shelton of Hampton, Tenn. visited Mrs. Iva Shelton during the weekend. Miss Carolyn Bobbitt of Indianapolis, Indiana spent several days with Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Moore last week. Miss Jane Moore of Hayesville and Mr. Tommy Dunn of Hawthoren, FLa. accompanied her to Waynesville and Highlands to visit relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Myers and children of LaGrange, Ga. Mrs. Gertrude Chastain and Barbara of Oak Ridge, Tenn., and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Young of Atlanta visited Mr. and Mrs. Bass Hyatt and Mr. and Mrs. Victor Bell at Brasstown last week. Mr. Bell entered the Sylva Hospital for treatment Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Woodard entertained with a birthday supper, Tuesday night honoring Mrs. Andy Stewart of Brasstown and Mr. Don Crawford of Los Banos California. Others present were Mrs. Wade Crawford , Mr. Andy Stewart and the Don Crawford family. Mr. and Mrs. Neal Crawford of Asheville, Mrs. Fred Moore and two granddaughters, Janica and Jennifer Rogers and Mr. Henley Q-awford all of Hayesville toured Tampa, Cocoa Beach and other points in Florida last week. Mr. Clyde Pitts and daughters Karen and Christie returned to Martinsville Virginia after visiting his mother Mrs. P.H. Pitts. Mr. Harry Rogers of Norfolk, Va. is spending a few days with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Neal Rogers. Mr. Germ Patterson is a patient in the Andrews hospital and is improving. Mrs. Jessie Ford and family have spent two weeks with her father Mr. Bud Cherry. Mrs. Jerry Parker and two daughters of Charlotte recently visited her parents Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Beadles. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Ellis and children of Washington, D.C. are visiting them this week. They all went to visit Mr. Kenneth Beadles in Marietta during the weekend. Mrs. Mabel Weaver attended the funeral of her sister-in-law in Asheville Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Bobby M Henson and son Randy Scott of Tucker, Ga. visited his mother, Mrs. Freida M.
