Pictures of enormous supplies of food stored in Germany have recently been publish ed in American newspapers with the evident approval of German authori ties. Also the price-of bread has been reduced by a government edict. Al though the Germans say that England! policy of starving the German people is responsible for the reprisals On En glish commerce by submarines, the prospect of a famine in the fatherland seems extremely remote. In Munich, states the correspondent, it is possible to dine better for les money in half a dozen restaurants tb m in a number of other countries he has visited.
