Mrs. Jordan is taking a rest Wesley Parrish, who is a mem ber of the Highway Patrol Force stationed at Pinehurst, N. C., was a recent visitor here. He at tended the Graduation exercises at the Deep Run School. His brother, Clifton, was a member of the graduating class. Margarette Davenport of Kins ton, N. C,, Allen Tyndall of Wil son, N. C., Verona Sparrow: and Ralph Noble of Deep Run, were Sunday visitors at Atlantic Beach, Morehead City. Deep Run High School gradu ated twenty-one seniors May 30. Two members of the graduating class, Verona Sparrow and Joyce Sparrow, received perfect at tendance certificates for 12 years of sehooL The P.-T. A. and School presented each of these girls a Bible Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Moore and-small son, Kenneth Dail, have returned to their home in Norfolk, Va., after a 10-day visit with Mrs. Moore’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. D. Sparrow. Mr. and Mrs. A R. Munn, Lucy Gray, Delia Davenport, Verona Sparrow, Catherine Hill and Jane Patrick, attended the grad uation exercises at Rocky Mount High School last Friday night. Mr. Munn’s niece was a member of the graduating class. Miss Verdie Davenport is on her vacation this week. Melba Sparrow recently spent a few days in Raleigh with his daughter, Vera Glenn Sparrow, who was a member of the Rex Hospital Graduating class. Grad uating exercises were held May 30th. IJavid Stroud of the Liddell section is sick at his home. Miss Helen Tyndall, a member of the School Faculty at Wake Forest, is home for the summer months with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Tyndall. Mr.,and Mrs. Alvis Deaves and, children are in Richmond, Va., this peek visiting Mrs. Deaver’s mother and family. Mr. and Mrs. S. E. Brown and their granddaughter, Sue Alice Moore, visited friends and rela tives in Kinston on Sunday. Miss Ethlyn Foscue has been attending the Christian Convo cation at Duke University this week. Mary Gerock, Thelma Gerock, Louise Mattocks, Henry Gerock, and Walter Gerock spent Sunday afternoon at Carolina Beach. Airs. Jere Pelletier and her mother, Mrs. Sabiston, left for Black Mountain last week. Mary Gerock, Thelma Gerock, Sybil Provost, Martha Byrd and Betty Jane Byrd left Friday on a trip to New York and other northern points. Rev. and Airs. J. D. Stott and their daughter, Alary Belle, are in Louisburg, attending the Methpdist Youth Assemblies. Air. Stott is teaching a course on Aiissions, and Mrs. Stott is a counselor and is assisting in the Arts and Crafts Workshop. Airs.
