Mr. and Mrs. J. a Henderson of Trenton visited Mrs. Hender son's mother, Mrs. a B. Whaley, of Kinston last Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Jarman ■mi family, Mr. and Mrs. Ken neth Jarman and Mr. and Mrs Winfield Davenport and daugh ter, Betty Lou, spent the past Sunday at the beach. Dorothy Hill of Cherry Pomt spent the past week with Aman da Hill of near Trenton. Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Hill and family went to see ‘"The Lost Colony” this past week-end. Mrs. Elijah Smith and daugh ter, Clara Ann, and Mrs. Prank Brock of Trenton were Kinston shoppers Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. George G. No bles spent the past week-end at Maxton, where tney anenueu » Cobb family reunion. Before re turning they visited Mrs. No ble’s relatives. Mrs. G. N. Noble spent the oast week at the beach. Mr. and Mrs. E. G. Green spent the past week on a vac'a Mrs. Mable Wackennan. who is visiting in Trenton, was a New Bern shopper this past Thursday. Miss Elizabeth Barker spent the past week-end in Kinston visiting her aunt, Mrs. E. B. Marston, Jr. / Surprise Picnic Mrs. Pearl Hammond gave a surprise picnic last Thursday to the swimming class from Tren ton, which went every day last week to take swimming lessons in Kinston. The picnic was served in Mrs. Hammond’s yard. After lunch refreshments of ice cream and cake were served. Ev erybody had a wonderful time. Mica Evelyn Brock is visiting Mrs. Helen Brock in Charleston, Mrs. Ray Gibson, Mrs. Jere Pelletier. Mrs. Annie Hay, Mrs. L F. House, Mrs. Nolan Mattocks, Mrs. J. B. Stott, and Mary Belle Stott attended the Wilmington District School of Missions of the Woman’s Society of Christian Service of The Methodist Church last week at WrightsvOle Beach. Mary Belle Stott left Monday for the Methodist Youth Center Dr. and Mrs. J. C. BeU are va cationing at Ridgecrest.
