West Machinery Company is sponsoring a contest for 4-H club members and is malting the prize money available. The North Carolina founda tion Seed Producers is giving a $100 saving bond to the highest producer in each of three areas fn North Carolina. Also the pro ducer of the highest yield of corn in all North Carolina will receive a $100 saving bond. Lenoir County had the state winner in 1948 when Fred Al britton wdn by producing 14’8 bu shels of corn on a measured acre, All farmers are urged to follow the steps that Will enable them to produce high yields of corn.
