The 71,000 hogs slaughtered also set a new record high, exceed ing the October record by 1,000 head. Cattle* calves and sheep and lambs slaughtered in November showed a decline of 21, 17 and 45 per cent resepctively from laud; month’s total liveweight slaughtered. Compared with the same period a year ago, the total liveweight of cattle Slaughtered increased 3.8 per ■ ' 000 pounds, while de and 3,000 pounds liveweight. The total liveweight slaughtered was 7 per cent leas than October but 10 per cent above Novemebr 1951.
