due to slightly higher prices for
corn, wheat and barley..
Lower prices for cotton and
cottonseed resulted in a drop of
11 points In the cotton and cot
tonseed index.
The tobacco Index Included
only Types 11 and 31 sales
since all markets in Types 12
and 13 closed prior to December
15. The level of prices for Type
31 (burley) was more than suf
ficient to off-set the decrease
of 6.5 cents In the average price
of Type 11 tobacco.
