would truly realize it and be pre
pared .to declare it. Let us labor in
Christ’s name with high courage,
as knowing that we cannot tod
when we are supported by the
power that he promises to his
disciples.
We may riot ordinarily realize
bow much of our holy religion de
pends upon Easter. The glorious
fact of the Living Lord, the radiant
angels attending, the proof of tee
immortality of the soul, and tee
promise of tee perfect life all spring
from the revelation of life in tee
empty tomb. Let us rejoice today
to tee resurrection of our Lord and
tee sure hope it' brings that we
shall be with him one day amid
tee glories of ten thousand worlds.

With the coming of spring
weather, and the* swelling of
dogwood buds it is time to talk
about sweet com again. There
are a few gardeners who still
plant early varieties of field
corn for roasting ears because
the ears are large and there are
not many earworms. However,
once they have given real sweet
coed a fair trial, they will not
be satisfied with field com.
There is no comparison In edible
quality.
There are a number of very
good hybrid com varitles to
choose from. .In order of earll
ness the following are recom
mended: North Star, Seneca
Chief, Hoosier Gold, Golden
Cross Bantam, Iona, Huron,
Arlstogold. These are all yellow
corns. Early and late varieties
may be planted at the same
time in order to get a succes
sion of harvest, or any one va
riety may be planted Vt two
weeks Intervals. Com is most
ly wind pollinated and there
fore it is best to plant in blocks
or two or three rows rather than
in a single row. Sweet Com may
be planted a little closer than
