Notice is hereby given that
the Board of Drainage Commis
Drainage District No. 1 has as
sioners of the Jones-Lenoir
sessed the lands in the Jones
Lenoir Drainage District a suf
ficient sum to defray the costs
of dexpenses of constructing
the drainage system and main
tain same for a period of three
years and that the Board of
Drainage Commissioners pro
poses to issue bonds in the ap
proximate amount, of $57,000.00
less such amounts as shall be
paid to the Board of Drainage
Commissioners by land owners
in the district on or before 15
days from this date. Said bonds
shall bear interest at 6% per
annum and shall matur as fol
lows:
1/10 the principal amount of
said, bonds to be due and pay
able in 3 years after date of is
suance and l/10of the principal
amount to become due anually

One prominent citizen said
Saturday that he. would be hap
py to sfen an appeal from the
board’s decision along with
several other representative cit
izens but he did not want fo
stick his. neck oue alone on
such a volatile proposition.
Some of those who favor re
modeling the hospital still look
with some question upon the
failure of the hospital architect
to study and to <

for people to consider and de
cide the question of whether to
