This goes to a teacher with an “Elementary A” certificate which means that par ticular teacher has had only one year of college training. Hie top salary paid for the nine month category is $3,807. or $422 per month for each of the nine months. Vocational Agriculture'Teachers who pay comes partly from federal as well as state sources are paid for 12 months in the year and the top rate in Jones County in that category presently is. $5,040 per year, or $420 per month. Water Resources Inventory Meeting in Trenton Tuesday fore the end of April. W. H. Riley, executive secretary of the state agency, said inven tory committees iwill be formed in all counties of the Second, Third and Fifth Congressional Districts within the next three weeks. The program has already been initiated in the First and Fourth Districts. Three meetings have been sche duled for the purpose of familiariz ing county representatives with the rede they are being asked to play in the state-wide research pro gram. These meetings will be held at Trenton on April 23 and at ReidswiMe on April 29. ■Expected to be represented at the meeting in Trenton are Car te^, Craven, Duplin, Jones, Ons- j in plan _ the state’s water ■conservation program.
