This was their second game of the sea son. Starters for the game were: Bobbie Parker, Diane Sheppard, Lillie Faye Banks, Note Bonner, Wanda Ballard and Carolyn Price. High sewer for the game was Wanda Ballard with 16 points. The Jones Central Junior Var sity boys suffered another defeat as the Swansboro Junior Varsity boys downed them by a score of 49 to 36. This was the tMrd game of the season for the Junior Varsity boys. Starters for the game were: Buddy Bell, John Waters, Johnny Boyette, Kenneth Smith, and Fred die Spence. High scorers for the game were Waters with 12 and Spence with 12. ADULT CLASS HELD On Monday Night, December 9, a special adult class was held at. 7:30 p. m. in the Nome Economics Department. Sue Carol Boyette, Delores Heath and Elizabeth Wells acted as hostesses for the meeting. The meeting was centered upon “Christmas Ideas.” Mrs. Alma Phillips and members of the Home Economise classes had prepared illustrations on beauti ful Christmas decorations includ ing table centerpieces, door decora tions, etc. Delores Heath took the visitors on an ^aginary trip through the ideas, she described was made, the Singer Sewing Appliances Company of New Bern then demonstrated the new 401 electrical sewing machine. At tie end of the first quarter the score was a dose 18 to 14. ^ht the second quar ter the game was tight and at the half the score was tied 31 to 31. After'the half Jones Central's girls got new spirit and started to pull ahead. In the fourth quarter the girl* werfe well on their way to winning another ball game. The game ended with a snore of 74 to 43.
