Mrs. Bender won.the floating prize. Play Nights Held Play nights ■were held Monday anc(,Tuesday nights for the Jones County Elementary Schools in Jones Central High School gym. These basketball teams included Trenton, Maysville, Comfort and Pollocfcsville schools. Tuesday night was the final playoffs and ( he Polloeksville girls and Mays ville boys were winners. All four schools have worked hard and are preparing themselves for high school basketball. Mrs. Jack Dixon Has Her Club on Tuesday Mrs. Jack Dixon entertained her bridge club Tuesday night with the following guests: Mesdames V. L. Pollock, D. Parker, Horace Brown;'*!?.’ E. Edwards, J. H; Pol lock and Misses Tiny Hammond and Mavis Koonce. Prizes wdht to Mrs. Edwards, who won high, and Mrs. Brown, who won low. After play Mrs. Dixon served cherry pie and coffee. ANNOUNCEMENTS Methodist Men will meet Thurs day night at 6. Roy Turnage, a Lay Leader of Ayden, will be the guest speaker. Maple Grove Methodist Church will begin its study on Japan T hurs day morning at 10 in the home of Mrs. W:ll Smith. Mrs. Lucy Flow ers is Secretary of Missionary Edu cation. The Trenton Methodist Church will hold its study on Japan March 2nd at 1:30 in the church, as an nounced by Secretary of Missionary Education, Mrs. W. S. Hill. Mrs. Fred Whitty of New Bern, vice president of this district, will teach the course. Refreshments will be served during an intermission. The Womens Missionary Union of the Baptist Churches will hold Mr. and Mrs. Claude I visited in Bettiaven Sunday. 1 _ Mr. and Mrs'.
