In a ceremony last Sunday, May | 3rd. Miss Roxie Elizabeth Rouse of New Bern, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Rouse of Rt. 2 Trenton, became the bride of James Duffy White of New Bern, son of Mr. and Mns. Charlie White of Rt. 5 New Bern. The Reverend Stanley E. Cover officiated and music was presented by Miss Vermta Jarman, pianist and Mrs. Z. A. Koonce Jr. render ed two selections, “I’ll Walk With God” and “The Wedding Prayer”. The bride was given in marriage by her brother, John S. Rouse. She wore a gown of Chantilly lace over taffeta designed with a masque bodice, styled with a scalloped neckline with a full ball erina length skirt. Her fingertip veil of net was attached to a Juliett cap covered with sequins and she carried a bouquet of car nations and spring flowers. Miss Bobbie Jean Rouse, sister of the bride was her Maid of Hon mor. Her dress was of white nylon over taffeta with a pink cummer bund and matching headpiece. Her bouquet was of pink carnations.
