STATS BOARD OF HEALTH RALEIGH, NORTH CAROLINA LBtfAL NOTICE Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Section M3-215, General Sta tutes of North Carolina, that public hearing concerning pollution of the waters of (he Neuse River Drain age Basin and the assignment of classifications to s^id waters will he held in the, Courtroom, 2nd Fleer, CHy Hall, Haw Bam, North Carolina, baginning at 9:30 A. M., EST., Friday, Juna 24, 19S9. Hie waters to be considered for classification during this hearing include that portion of the Neuse River from the Wayne-Lenoir , County line to its mouth in Pam lico Sound, Nahunta Swamp from the Wayne-Creepe County Line to its mouth in Contentea Creek, Oontentnea Creek from the Wilson Greeoe County Line to its mouth in Neuse Raver, Toisnot Swamp from the Wilson-Greene County Line to its mouth in Contentnea Creek, Pamlico and Core Sounds, and that portion of the Atlantic ucean conxiguous 10 vne uuter Banks between the Tar-Pamlico River and White Oak River Drain age Basins, and all their tributaries comprising the Neuse River Drain age Basin from the aforementioned county lines to the Atlantic Ocean. These waters border on or flow through the counties of Beaufort, Carteret, Craven, Greene, Jones, Lenoir, Pamlico, and Pitt. All persons interested in the classification of the waters in the area designated are invited to at tend and take part in the discus sion. Persons desiring to be beard should give notice thereof in writ ing to the committee on or before the date'of the hearing. It is re quested that, insofar as possible, any person desirous of offering lengthy comments and discussion in regard to the proposed classifi cation of the streams be prepared at the public bearing to offer a written statement to be included in the record of proceedings. Additional information and copies of the proposed classifications are available in the office of the Di vision of Water Pollution Control, State Board of Health, Raleigh, and may be obtained upon request.
