Bible Schools Largely Attended With Varied and Informative Courses of Study and Play Memorial Baptist The Vacation Bible School of the Memorial Baptist Church was held last week with an eorollmeot of 60, and an average attendance of 65 students. Mrs. Harry Bryant was principal of the school. Miss Nancy Simpson was superinten dent of the beginners, assisted by Mb. Beatrice Crane. The theme of the study was Learning About God’s World, and the handwork consisted of spool necklaces and wall pictures. Mrs. Louise MSateja was superin- ' tendent Of the Primary Depart-1 meat, assisted by Linda Mills and Rosemary Costello. Their course iwas entitled, Wonders In God’s World. Their crafts were sea-shell Jewelry, spatter paint pictures, baskets and leis. The Juniors were led by Mrs. (Mirths Henderson, superintendent, assisted by Mrs. A. B. Bracey and Mrs. James Wright. Their theme was God’s Answers to Important Questions. Their crafts were pin trays, waste paper baskets. / imps. Kooen. buck was superin tendent of tbe Menmediate de partment, assisted by Barry Bry ant and Mrs. A. £. Thompson. The study course here was Paul’s Mis sionary Journeys. The crafts were copper wall plaques. Mrs. A. E. Thompson conducted the music for the school. Mrs. Viette Gerock was treasurer of the school. The refreshment committee was made up of Mrs. W. E. Raiford, Mrs. J. C. Bell and Mrs. Rf) Gerock. The school dosed with an outing Friday with hot dogs, soft drinks, cookies and ice cream. The ■commencement for the school was on Friday evening. Maysville Methodist The Vacation Church School of the Maysville Methodist Church, conducted last week enrolled' 69 Jwpils, who maintained an average attendance of 64. Nine teachers as sisted in the three classes of the school. iMrs. R. L. Mattocks was dean I of the school. Teachers of the Beginners were Mrs. F. H. Pruitt, J Mrs. Robert Moore, Martha Pruitt, and Barbara Hay. This class studied the course, God and His World. This class studied the course, Praise Ye the Lord, a study of the Psalms. In crafts the class made dried flow er arrangements, and spatter paint drawings. The ladies of the WSCS were re spansible lor the serving of re freshments each day.
